Julius Baer Guernsey has made a financial donation that equates to 111 nights’ worth of accommodation at the Priaulx Premature Baby Foundation’s (PPBF) compassionate housing, next to Southampton Hospital.
Isaac’s Pad, Aggie’s Burrow and, coming soon, Frankie’s Den are cosy, private and well-equipped flats that are a lifeline for Bailiwick of Guernsey families of premature babies, or critically ill children, requiring off-island treatment. These home-from-homes are only 100 steps away from the hospital entrance. This means that parents can be by their child’s bedside in a few minutes, at any time of day or night.
The Julius Baer donation comes as we launch our ‘Buy-A-Night – Business Edition’, which allows businesses to purchase nights to help with property running costs.
Isaac’s Pad is named for Isaac Pickford, whose dad Robert works at Julius Baer and was supported by the charity when Isaac was born prematurely. You can read his story here.
“The PPBF is a charity that’s extremely close to the hearts of our family and has helped so many Guernsey people. I’m so pleased that the bank has chosen to help them and is supporting their latest fundraising efforts – I know first-hand what a wonderful and valuable resource and comfort they provide.” – Robert Pickford.
“A number of our team have been helped by the PPBF, so the charity is an important one for us here at Julius Baer. The ‘Buy-A-Night’ campaign enables anyone to contribute to provide peace of mind to local families who need a safe and comfortable place to stay while their child is looked after at Southampton Hospital. It is a fantastic initiative that is so vital for our local community.” – Alexandra McInnes, Head of Julius Baer Guernsey.
We have provided thousands of nights of comfort and reassurance to local families facing one of the hardest journeys of their lives. This is an important part of our service to the community.
As a charity with no government funding, corporate sponsorship means a great deal to the PPBF. Like Julius Baer, a business can support the PPBF’s compassionate housing by buying nights. They can purchase a week of nights at £420, a month at £1,860 or many more nights. Each company logo will be highlighted on the PPBF’s online ‘Corporate Calendar’ for their chosen flat and date range.
“We’re ever so grateful to Julius Baer Guernsey for supporting 111 nights for our ‘Buy-A-Night’ campaign. This will make a huge difference to local families going through a traumatic time and help the charity protect the flats’ future.” – Jo Priaulx.
