Support from the local business community means a great deal to the PPBF. Kind donations, fundraising events and sponsorships enable us to continue the vital work we do for Guernsey families with premature babies and poorly children. Getting involved is also a great way to bring your colleagues, clients and customers together, while giving back to the community. Funds raised go towards a number of PPBF projects including our compassionate housing, equipment for Guernsey’s Neonatal Unit and our beloved Baby Boxes.

Our compassionate housing, (Aggie’s Burrow and Isaac’s Pad and Frankie’s Den) is located right next to Southampton Hospital. Both of these private, cosy and well-equipped flats are a lifeline for local families with a premature baby or critically ill child requiring off-island treatment.
Funding their future is a financial priority for the PPBF, and the Buy-A-Night campaign allows our supporters to purchase a night of their choice, to help with running costs and keep families together while they are far from home. As a business, you can also support this campaign by purchasing a week, a month – or more – of your choice from £420 for a week, or £1,860 for a full month. Perhaps you’d like to sponsor a work anniversary or a period of time chosen by your staff.
Businesses can buy a week, a month, or longer, to help Guernsey families needing off-island accommodation next to Southampton Hospital. A great deal of work goes on behind the scenes, from cleaning, maintenance and property management to the upkeep and replacement of supplies and resources. Your funds can help us with these areas of work, so that families can stay together and focus on their little one.

From corporate functions to team building events, you can Host a Night to raise funds for the PPBF’s Buy-A-Night campaign and your business will feature on our ‘Hosts of Honour’ list. Every penny raised will go towards safeguarding the future of our Southampton-based flats, to offer a reassuring ‘home-from-home’ to families during worrying and uncertain times. Make the PPBF your ‘Charity of the Year’ and fundraise over a longer period of time. Partnerships like these are often voted for by staff, and we enjoy meeting teams, presenting our campaigns and getting to know the hardworking people across our local business community
Many local businesses have set up monthly payroll giving, inviting their employees to donate every month from their salary before tax
Host a Night is part of our Buy-A-Night campaign, but fundraisers can take place during the day too. Event ideas include sponsored challenges, charity bakes, dress down days, raffles, auctions, family fun days and much more. You could also host a ‘Buy-A-Night’ themed fundraiser by asking staff to wear their PJs or onesies to work (ideal for those working from home!).
The PPBF was supported by a number of community events this year including the Saffery Rotary Walk and the Sure Guernsey Marathon. These kind of events are open to individuals and families, but they also provide opportunities for corporate and relay teams/groups to get involved for local causes. Thank you to everyone who has ran and walked for us! If you’re taking part in a sporting event and you’d like to fundraise, please do get in touch.
The PPBF appreciates any companies who can donate their services pro bono. Printing, legal services, accounting and event management all have a key role to play in our daily work. Thank you to Brehon Chartered Accountants for preparing our annual accounts free of charge
This important day takes place annually on 17th November and raises awareness of premature births and the impact on families. It is also the PPBF’s anniversary. Why not ask your staff to dress up in purple to mark the occasion, host a purple/baby themed bake sale or run a baby photo challenge within your team? We’ll be encouraging the community to Wear Purple to Work for £2 per person
Corporate sponsorships help to reduce, or eliminate, our costs which in turn increases the fundraising to help with our vital work; supporting and helping Bailiwick of Guernsey families of either premature babies or critically ill children in our local community
A special thank you to Investec | Channel Islands for being our partner in our successful ‘Buy a Brick’ campaign, which involved a wide range of promotional activities
