Support the PPBF this Easter

Easter is taking place on Sunday 9th April this year, and it’s a time for new beginnings. Adjusting to life with a new baby can be an incredibly beautiful and rewarding experience, but for families with a premature baby or poorly child, it can also be a difficult time of uncertainty. To support these families, you can get involved in any of the below activities this Easter to fundraise and raise awareness for the work that we do.

Easter Lunch and Egg Hunt

Join Le Pommier Hotel for a special Sunday lunch and Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday 9th April. There will be a £5 entry fee for children to get involved, which will kindly be donated to the PPBF. Your little ones will be able to meet the Easter Bunny, enjoy crafts and an egg hunt. Plus, keep an eye out for a special Golden Egg after a delicious meal! We’re incredibly grateful for the team’s support through this themed event and you can book your spot by getting in touch with Le Pommier using the details below.

Knitting

Knitting for the PPBF is one of the ways you can support us as we love to include handmade items in our Baby Boxes. Each box is carefully put together for families on the local Neonatal Unit and is filled with preemie essentials, keepsakes and gifts. From bunnies and chicks, to floral blankets and tiny yellow cardigans, we would love to receive knitted items for our boxes, with a seasonal touch.

Buy-A-Night in lieu of Easter cards

Buying a night supports our Southampton-based compassionate housing for Guernsey families with a premature baby or poorly child needing off-island treatment. Our cosy, well-equipped and private flats are right next to Southampton Hospital, meaning that parents can be by their child’s side within minutes. Aggie’s Burrow and Isaac’s Pad have been a lifeline for families over the years, and we need your help to safeguard their future. Once you’ve bought a night here, you can email info@ppbf.org.gg to request a Gift Certificate as an alternative Easter gift idea.

Easter Egg Raffle

Why not host a raffle in the office and treat your team to some chocolate treats to enjoy over the Bank Holiday weekend? Every donation made, however big or small, makes a difference.

Hedge Veg Stalls

Guernsey is famous for its fabulous hedge veg and local produce. At this time of year, it’s lovely to see daffodils and Easter goodies appearing across the island. If you run a stall, or know someone who does, then you might like to invite our community to donate during Easter weekend.
